Subjects, such as Hindi and social science, have been made compulsory for the government schools having National Skilled Qualification Framework (NSQF) as part of their education system. Educationists have hailed the move.
RMSAofficials have revised the scheme of study and directed the DEOs and the officials concerned to do the needful. Now, students will study Hindi and social science both. These two subjects had been kept optional, whereas subjects like English, Maths, Science, and Punjabi are among the compulsory subjects. The change in the pattern is applicable from Class IX and X.
Ashwani Kumar, a government teacher, said, “A student should study Hindi as it is the national language and social science as it helps students crack competitive exams.
