Following a minor altercation, a youth stabbed his foster mother to death in Sathiala village here on Wednesday. The body Kulwant Kaur was handed over to the family members after postmortem examination. The accused, identified as Maninder Singh, is on the run.
Kirandeep Singh, SHO, Beas police station, said Kulwant Kaur, whose husband has died, got herself remarried to Satnam Singh of Sathiala village. Satnam had two children, including Maninder Singh, who was not happy with his father for solemnising second marriage. Maninder used to quarrel with her every now and then. They had an altercation on Wednesday, following which he stabbed her to death.
