Youth booked for assault

Amritsar, February 17

A youth has been accused of assaulting a family and outraging the modesty of a woman. The accused, identified as Bunty of Guru Nanak Nagar, Batala road, has been booked. A parking dispute is said to be the reason behind it.

Kailash Chander Wadhwa, a resident of Vijay Nagar, told the police that the accused attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon and also slappned his wife and daughter-in-law besides making a video recording of them.

Hardeep Singh, investigating officer, said some dispute over parking of car in the street was the reason behind the incident. A case has been lodged and raids are on to arrest him, he added. — TNS
