An Ayurveda camp was organised by Nasya Punjab and Bharat Vikas Parishad (Bathinda) at the public library near Gol Giggi on Sunday. As many as 1,086 patients availed of free treatment at the camp. As many as 18 ayurvedic doctors from the region examined and distributed free medicines.
A majority of patients came with diseases related to skin, drugs, orthopaedics, chest, ear, nose, throat and eye.
The doctors also sensitised the patients to taking healthy diet and exercise regularly to keep diseases at bay.
Members of the BVP also delivered lectures to spread awareness regarding ayurvedic treatment methods and their effectiveness.
