2 liquor smuggling cases registered

BATHINDA: Two cases of liquor smuggling have been registered in the district.

Bathinda, April 26

Two cases of liquor smuggling have been registered in the district.

In the first case, the police have recovered 60 bottles of illicit liquor made in Haryana.

The police, during checking at Jassi Bagh Wali village, arrested Bhura Singh and Balkaran Singh, residents of Behman Diwana village, and seized illicit liquor from their possession.

In another case, the police recovered 90 bottles of country-made liquor of a Haryana brand.

During checking at Phulomitti village, the police arrested Sandeep Singh and Balkaran Singh, also residents of Behman Diwana village. The police have also seized a Maruti car.

In both incidents, cases under the Excise Act have been registered at police stations concerned.
