3 cases of clash over old rivalries registered

BATHINDA: Three cases of clash over old rivalries were on Tuesday registered by the police in the district.

Three cases of clash over old rivalries were on Tuesday registered by the police in the district.

In the first case, two persons were booked for beating up and threatening a resident over an old rivalry at Talwandi Sabo.

In a complaint lodged with the police by Mahesh Sharma, a resident of Talwandi Sabo, he said accused Gurwinder Singh and another resident of Talwandi Sabo beat him up and even threatened him with dire consequences in the future as well over their old rivalry.

Investigating officer SI Sukhpal Singh said they had registered a case against the accused on the statement of the victim. However, no arrests have been made so far.

A case under Sections 323,324, 506 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against the accused at Talwandi Sabo police station.

In the second incident, three residents of Giana village beat up a couple in the same village over their old rivalry.

In a police complaint lodged by Gurdas Singh, a resident of Giana, he said accused Baljinder Singh, Veer Singh and Kulwinder Kaur beat him up and his wife Paramjit Kaur over their old rivalry.

A case under Sections 325, 323 and 34 of the IPC has been registered at Rama police station.

In the third, two residents of Lulbai village beat up a resident of Gidderbaha, Gurmeet Singh, over an old land dispute.

The police have registered a case under Sections 323, 324 and 34 of the IPC against Jagjeet Singh and Iqbal Singh of Lulbai village at Nandgard police station.
