3 motorcycles stolen

BATHINDA: Unidentified persons have stolen three motorcycles for the area that comes under the Kotwali police station. A case under Sections 379 of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified persons.

Unidentified persons have stolen three motorcycles for the area that comes under the Kotwali police station.

A case under Sections 379 of the IPC has been registered against the unidentified persons.

Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Nachhtar Nagar, told the police that his motorcycle was stolen from outside Government Rajindera College.

Balkaran Singh, a resident of Multannia Road area, said his bike was also stolen outside Government Rajindra College. Jimmy Goyal, a resident of Green Avenue, Bathinda, said unidentified persons stole his bike parked outside the Sweet Milan palace.

One held for loot bid

The police have arrested a person for trying loot a mobile shop in Maur.

A case has been registered against two persons. Sadhu Ram, a resident of Maur Mandi, told the police that Gurdit Singh, a resident of Ballo village, and an unidentified person attempted to snatch loot the shop of his son Arun Kumar. Police officer Hoshiar Singh, who is investigating the case, said the other accused would be arrested soon. — TNS

9 magazines, 3 grenades seized

Tarn Taran: The 14th battalion of the BSF recovered nine magazines and three grenades from the its Khemkaran premises, 45 km from here, late yesterday evening.  The Khemkaran police have registered a case under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act; and 4 and 5 of the Explosive Act. — OC
