A health check-up camp was organised at Mansa Khurd village of Mansa district on Wednesday. During the camp, 38 patients were diagnosed with various ailments.
Divulging more details, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Lal Chand Thukral said health check-up camps were being organised everyday. He said for the camps, a team of medical experts visited villages.
“The main aim of such camps is to make people aware of the prevailing ailments and to counsel them how to get rid of such diseases,” the CMO added. He said the prevailing ailments in the district included hypertension and diabetes.
21 vehicles challaned in Mansa
Meanwhile, the Mansa police on Wednesday checked 88 vehicles.
Mansa SSP Parambir Parmar said of the 88 vehicles, 21 were challaned for causing pollution.
The SSP added that no vehicle would be allowed to emit pollution, which was a major health hazard, especially for elderly and children. He said 16 more vehicles were also challaned under other categories.
