Bathinda: Students of the PG Department of Commerce of SSD Girls' College performed well in the BCom first semester exams, the results of which were decaled by Punjabi University, Patiala, recently. Aashima Goyal bagged the first position with 78.6 per cent marks. Pooja Kumari attained the second position with 77.8 per cent while the third position went to Mansirat Kaur with 77.6 per cent marks. Overall, 28 students secured more than 70 per cent marks and 50 students secured more than 60 per cent. College president Som Nath Baghla, vice-president Yashwant Rai Singla, secretary JK Gupta congratulated principal Dr Parminder Kaur Tanghi, Dr Neeru Garg and all other staff members for their efforts. Bathinda: Students of BBA-I brought laurels to Malwa College by securing 100 per cent pass percentage in the first semester exams, the results of which were declared by Punjabi University, Patiala, recently. Swarndeep Kaur topped the college with 87.2 per cent marks. Pooja Moriya bagged the second position with 80 per cent marks while the third position went to Jasmeet Singh with 79 per cent marks. Congratulating the students and staff, principal Prof NK Gosain said the credit for the excellent results goes to the hard work and able guidance of the faculty. The college management congratulated HoD Dr Rupinder Kaur Sidhu, class in-charge Asst Prof Amandeep Kaur and the staff for the results. The management also announced scholarships for the students. TNS
