BATHINDA: Ambey General Store won the Civil Line Club (CLC) limited over cricket tournament.

Ambey General Store won the Civil Line Club (CLC) limited over cricket tournament. In the final played today at the ground of the CLC, they defeated Lovely TV Centre by three wickets.

Ambey General Store won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Lovely TV Centre scored 247 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 25 overs.

Manoj Yadav was the highest run-getter with 55 runs. He was ably supported by Maninder Singh (46). Rajiv Goyal of Ambey General Store picked up two wickets.

Ambey General Store chased the target with three balls to spare and scored 248 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Jastej Sra played a match winning knock of 77 runs and captain Mitul Jindal played a quick-fire 67 off 24. Sanjay Chhabra of Lovely TV Centre bagged four wickets.

Mitul Jindal was adjudged the best batsmen of the tournament while Arun was declared the best bowler of the tournament. Jastej Sra bagged the man of the match award. As many as 20 teams participated in the tournament and a total of 97 matches were played.
