Assessment camps for elderly from January 2

BATHINDA: Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, Diprava Lakra today said assessment camps would be held for elderly persons from January 2 to 5, 2018.

Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, Diprava Lakra today said assessment camps would be held for elderly persons from January 2 to 5, 2018. They would be provided free dentures, walkers, crutches, hearing aid, spectacles and walking sticks in the camps.

He said the District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) would be held in these camps on January 2 at the DDRC Centre opposite gate number 3, Police Lines, near the Civil Hospital, Bathinda. Similarly, at Nathana, the camp would be held at the Civil Hospital, Nathana, on January 4, at the Civil Hospital, Rampura Phul, on January 4 and at the Civil Hospital, Talwandi Sabo, on January 5.

He said people above 60 years of age could take advantage of these camps wherein they would be assessed for providing them various facilities. DDRC director Dr Varinder said elderly persons should bring copies of their Aadhaar cards, BPL cards or income proofs or pension documents while coming to the camps.

He said those elderly persons who were taking old-age or any other kind of pension could be part of these camps. For further information one could contact 0164-2222480.
