Bhatti promises RUB, other works

MALOUT: Local MLA Ajaib Singh Bhatti, who is the Deputy Speaker of Vidhan Sabha, today informed the mediapersons that the main demand of local residents regarding the construction of a railway under-bridge (RUB) connecting the cremation ground would be met soon.

Local MLA Ajaib Singh Bhatti, who is the Deputy Speaker of Vidhan Sabha, today informed the mediapersons that the main demand of local residents regarding the construction of a railway under-bridge (RUB) connecting the cremation ground would be met soon.

“The Congress government is starting a number of new development works in Malout town, which will include the railway under-bridge. Besides, the government has released Rs 10 lakh to install street lights in the town. The location of the police station and fire brigade complex will also be made people friendly,” said Bhatti.

He added that a garbage dumping site would also be found soon.

Besides, the government is contemplating to set up a government college in the town, claimed Bhatti. — TNS
