The Urban unit president of the local unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mohit Gupta today tendered his resignation from the post of party president.
In his resignation, he cited personal reasons behind the step and said he will not be able to give time to the party due to personal reasons. But he affirmed that he would continue to serve the party as a worker.
Mohit Gupta earlier held the post of state president, BJP Yuva Morch. It is learnt that senior BJP leaders were not happy with his style of functioning and he had failed to unite the party, which is divided into various groups.
