Cleanliness drive at Govt Polytechnic

BATHINDA: As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of the Central Government, a theme-based cleanliness drive was today launched at the Government Polytechnic College.

As part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan of the Central Government, a theme-based cleanliness drive was today launched at the Government Polytechnic College. College principal Darshan Singh Sidhu stated that between November 1 and 15 the cleanliness fortnight was observed on the college campus.

He added that during the fortnight, the students and staff members indulged in cleaning the college premises and its adjoining areas and also to make sure that the environment is clean, the students also planted saplings. He added that the college was divided into various sectors and the drive was taken up department-wise.

NSS unit of the college contributed a lot to the cleanliness drive. NSS coordinator Pawan Kumar stated that the NSS Unit takes up such drives in the college regularly. — TNS
