Congmen, DLSA observe Sadbhavna Diwas

BATHINDA: The Bathinda District Congress Committee today organised two separate functions to observe Sadbhavna Diwas, the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi.

The Bathinda District Congress Committee today organised two separate functions to observe Sadbhavna Diwas, the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi.

Party workers paid floral tributes at a function organised at Parasram Nagar under the leadership of Ratan Rahi, Congress in-charge of ward number 26 to 50.

Congressmen also paid homage to Rajiv Gandhi at another function organised by party workers under the guidance of District Congress Committee president Mohan Lal Jhumba at Congress Bhawan.

Under the chairmanship of District and Sessions Judge-cum-chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Bathinda, Tejwinder Singh and CJM-secretary, DLSA, Amita Singh, (PCS), the legal body observed the Sadbhavana Diwas.

All judicial officers posted at the Bathinda headquarters, along with the staff employed at the courts, attended the occasion.

The District and Sessions Judge gave a slogan of communal harmony and peace, and administered a pledge to everybody present on the spot.

He emphasised the need of mediation and re-conciliation and said dispute of any kind should be resolved by peaceful means because it saved time as well as money of the parties in dispute.

He gave the message of communal harmony and cited examples from history that India being a land full of the cultural diversity teaches the principle of unity and tolerance to the entire nation.

He also emphasised on the need of Lok Adalat as well as process of mediation on the occasion.
