Aiming to participate in the World Culture Festival being organised by the Art of Living Foundation in Delhi from March 11 to 13, many musicians from the city and its nearby areas today attended a trial-cum-training programme held by the foundation in the city.

Elaborating on the culture festival, the organisers said the festival would bring together people from different cultures, nations and faiths as one world family to send out the message of peace.

World Culture Festival (WCF) is expected to host millions of people from over 155 countries in New Delhi.

The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Sangeet Natak Akademi, the Lalit Kala Akademi and the National School of Drama.

They said the three-day grand festival would have a massive seven-acre stage to seat thousands of artistes, dignitaries and guests with an objective to bring a wide variety of music, dance and other art forms from India and across the globe on one platform and keep them alive for future generations.

The foundation will also be taking along as many as 800 musicians to the concert from Punjab.

Art of Living Punjab coordinator Poulumi Mukherjee, singer Dr Chitra Rai, Rohit Bhagi, Renu and district coordinator Sanjeev Garg today supervised the training of as many as 200 students to prepare them to play their respective instruments in perfect sync with one another and then move ahead to participate in training sessions to be held in Delhi.
