Bathinda, February 24

Ahead of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s visit to Punjab, various Sikh leaders today announced to stage a protest march from Bargadi to Faridkot on February 27 over the issue of failure of the state government to trace culprits of desecration of Shri Guru Granth Sahib.

Sikh pracharak leader Pardeep Singh Chandpura said the state government has failed to take action against the murderers of two Sikh youths who were killed in a police firing during a protest against the desecration issue. “We will stage a protest but traffic would not be halted as protesters would sit along one side of the road in a line carrying flags in their hands to mark the protest on February 27,” he said.
