To upgrade passenger amenities, the railways has installed a digital display board near the inquiry counter of the railway station here. Besides, another digital display board would be installed at the railway station soon.

Station Superintendent Ramswaroop Meena confirmed that two digital display boards would be put up for the facilitation of passengers at the railway station.

A railway employee, who did not wish to be quoted, said, “These display boards would not only make commuters aware of trains and their positioning but also lessen our burden, as most passengers come to us with their queries regarding trains.” Passengers were also happy with the development at the railway station.

Kuldeep Singh, a city resident, said, “The ongoing construction of foot overbridge (FOB) at the Bathinda railway junction and installation of various electronic machines, including water vending machines, ticket vending machines and now the digital display board give us great pleasure to witness these positive changes.”

Pavan Kumar, a passenger, said, “All the major railway stations in the country have these display boards to update information regarding trains and the position of their coaches. Though, it has arrived late at the Bathinda railway junction, I am happy that it would save commuters from inconvenience.”
