Engg student dies under mysterious conditions

BATHINDA: A mechanical engineering (final year) student died under mysterious circumstances this morning.



Bathinda, May 23

A mechanical engineering (final year) student died under mysterious circumstances this morning.

After getting information, a team from the Cantonment police station reached the spot.

After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family.

The deceased has been identified as Karan (20), a resident of Beant Singh Nagar.

The police have taken action under Section 174 on the basis of the statement of Nand Lal, the father of the deceased.

The deceased was a student of Global Polytechnic College at Chak Ruldu Wala village in Dabwali, Haryana.

Nand Lal said Karan had gone to the birthday party of the niece of his friend last night.

He left the house around 8 pm and returned around 11.30 pm.

In the morning, around 6.30 am when his mother Champa Rani went to his room with tea, the youth didn’t respond.

His body turned blue. He was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

SHO Bhupinder Singh said no suicide note had been recovered from the house. The family members have not suspected anyone. — TNS
