World Book Day was celebrated by Baba Farid College of Education at the Baba Farid Group of Institutions.
A book exhibition was organized specially for the students to mark the day. Speaking on the occasion, BD Sharma, deputy director (activities), BFGI, said books play an important role in the development of one’s intellectual property and personality. Students spend much time with books, which is the main purpose of this activity. Without them, the development of a well-thought-out mind is impossible.
Chairman of the institution Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal said interest in books is an excellent effort to broaden the mental horizon of the students. — TNS
