Bathinda, July 17
A fire broke out in the engine of a good trains carrying foodgrain from Barnala to Bathinda. The incident took place near the railway crossing in Rampura city.
After getting information, railway authorities, fire brigade teams and volunteers of Dera Sacha Sauda reached the spot.
The fire was brought under control after some time.
Railway station superintendent Varinder Kumar said no causality or loss of property had been reported in the incident.
The fire has been brought under control and this rail route would be cleared and opened in some time, he added.
It is learnt that due to this incident, Ambala-Bathinda passenger train (54551) remained stationed at the Tapa station for a long time, due to which passengers had to face inconvenience.
