Bathinda, August 23

Two Punjab Police constables have been taken into custody in an alleged gangrape case in Bhucho Mandi. A pressure was built on the policemen by numerous NGOs and social welfare organisations following the gangrape of a widow a few days ago.

The case against the accused was registered following the constant pressure of the organisations by staging dharnas and rallies outside the Nathana police station for the last few days.
