Last rites of SC Commission vice-chief performed, top SAD leaders give it a miss

Rajinder Guddu, vice-president, SC Commission, Punjab, was cremated in the city today. He passed away on Saturday after suffering a heart attack.

Despite holding a high government post, only Rajesh Bagha, president, SC Commission, was present during the funeral while no official from the district administration attended the cremation.

Even no senior SAD leader attended the cremation despite the fact that Guddu was a SAD veteran. Senior Congress leader Chiranji Lal Garg, Mayor Balwant Rai Nath, ex-Mayor Baljit Singh Beerbehman, Chamkaur Mann, Prithipal Singh Jalal, Bhola Singh, BJP city president Mohit Gupta, former chairman of the Bathinda Improvement Trust Ashok Bharti and others were present.
