Bathinda, May 27
After luring a 15-year-old girl with a marriage proposal, a man has eloped with her. The accused has been identified as Jaswinder Singh of Kot Shamir village, where the girl was also living.
The Sadar police have registered a case against the accused and launched a manhunt to nab him.
In his complaint, Jaspal Singh, the father of the girl, said his daughter went missing all of a sudden on the evening of May 23.
Manjit Singh, assistant sub-inspector and investigating officer in the case, said, “We have registered a case under Section 363 and 366 of the IPC and efforts are on to nab the accused.” — TNS
