Mansa village all set to get herbal park

BATHINDA: Forest, Wildlife Preservation, Printing, Stationary, Schedule Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot today visited Dhaipi village of Mansa near Bhikhi where he made important announcements for the overall development of the area.

Forest, Wildlife Preservation, Printing, Stationary, Schedule Castes and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot today visited Dhaipi village of Mansa near Bhikhi where he made important announcements for the overall development of the area.

The minister also inaugurated the national kabaddi tournament at the village where kabaddi teams from Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Haryana are camping to participate in the first kabaddi match.

Dharamsot interacted with villagers and appreciated the sports activities being held there. He said on the demand of area residents, the Forest Department would ensure setting up of herbal park in four acres.

The minister said the park would also be used as a platform to spread awareness among villagers to grow medicinal plants.

Agreeing to the demand of villagers, the minister also announced to upgrade the village school from Class VIII to X. To give further impetus to the ongoing sports activities, the minister announced to give Rs 2 lakh for the village gym. — TNS
