Continuing its sealing drive, a team of the Municipal Corporation today recovered property tax from various commercial units in the city.
The team headed by superintendent Pargat Singh today went to Bansal Mica Store located on Namdev road to seal the shop over the non-payment of tax, but the owner of the shop paid the outstanding amount of Rs 20,809 to the team on the spot.
Later, the team went to Aggarwal Automobiles centre located at Vishkarma Market but the firm paid their outstanding property tax of Rs 15,685 on the spot.
Afterwards, the team went to Gopi Denting and Painting Shop and there too the shop owner paid the outstanding property tax of Rs 20,961.
The team also went to the Fit Tyre shop on Bibiwala road. The shop owner paid the outstanding amount of Rs 21,904 to the team.
The superintendent said they had started the drive on the instructions of MCB Commissioner Anil Kumar Garg.
He said they went to seal the shops of defaulters but all of them paid the outstanding amount on the spot.
