Minor held

The police have arrested a minor boy, a resident of Kheta Singh Basti, for stealing motorbikes. Four stolen motorcycles were recovered from his possession. The bikes are worth nearly Rs 1.25 lakh. Police officials said the boy was later released on bail as he was a minor. A case under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC has been registered against him.

Theft in house

Parjot Kansal, a resident of Parasram Nagar, has complained to the police that unidentified persons entered his house and decamped with material worth nearly Rs 80,000. The stolen material included four mobile phones and Rs 48,400. Canal Colony police have registered a case. —TNS
