Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has invited Dr Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean Planning, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), for dinner reception celebrating Canada-India ties in New Delhi on February 22.
Dr Sidhu has submitted more than 150 research papers in the area of economic energy generation and development of surface coatings for high temperature materials.
Dr Sidhu, who is a renowned academician, has filed four patents from his research work and written three books.
“A few days ago, we received an invitation from the High Commissioner for Canada in India inviting us for dinner reception during the visit of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Canada House in New Delhi on February 22,” he said.
Dr Sidhu added they are looking forward to meeting the Canadian Prime Minister and would raise the issue of Punjabi diaspora and jobs for Punjabis abroad, apart from exploring educational opportunities for both countries. — TNS
