Bathinda: A 17-year-old boy was killed in a road accident after a PRTC bus hit his motorcycle. Bus driver Paviter Singh, a resident of Bhaaru Chowk, Gidderbaha, has been booked. In a complaint lodged by Jagjeet Singh, a resident of Chugge Khurad village, it has been alleged that his son Harmanpreet Singh was riding a Bullet motorcycle (PB-03AQ-2272) with his friends Jagjeet Singh and Dharampreet Singh. They were going from Balluayana to Chugge Khurd village. The PRTC bus (PB-03AJ-6874), which was coming from Bathinda side hit them, he said. His son Harmanpreet Singh died on the spot and his friends Jagjeet Singh and Dharampreet Singh were seriously injured. A case has been registered against Pavitter Singh under Sections 304A, 279, 337 and 427 of the IPC. Investigation officer Gurmeet Singh said the accused was arrested and later released on bail.
