On the second day of the 6th annual day celebrations of The Millennium School, a play was staged yesterday.
The play, based on the short story by Munshi Premchand, revolves around the poignant sacrifice of Hamid, a poor orphan who lives with his grandmother Ameena.
Nandini Malhotra, script writer, subtly merged her opinion on social issues like communal harmony, right to education and gender justice through the brilliant use of secondary characters.
The team of over 60 actors excelled in their assigned roles.
Chief guest Prof Kirtikripal, a renowned theatre personality, was impressed with the production. He congratulated Director Hukam Singh (Harsh) for the great play.
The production was followed by bhangra. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
