An exciting match was witnessed on the third day of the World Kabaddi League’s second phase at Rajindra College Hockey Stadium.
Royal Kings USA defeated Punjab Tigers with a score of 59-33. The Royal Kings team dominated their rival team throughout the match. In the first quarter itself, the Royal Kings took a lead of 15-8 and continued their superb play at the end of the second quarter with a score of 29-17. In the third quarter, the Royal Kings left their rivals far behind as their lead went up to 43-27 and at the end of the fourth quarter, the team won the match with a score of 59-33. This was Royal Kings’ sixth win in eight matches. The Punjab Tigers have lost their fourth match in the tournament. The Royal Kings are on top of the league with 19 points.
Gagandeep Sabhrava of the Royal Kings was adjudged the best raider and Faryad Ali of the same team was adjudged as the best stopper. The second match was played between Khalsa Warriors and California Eagles. During the match, a player of Khalsa Warriors team got injured and blood was seen coming out from his face. This was quite a close match in which California Eagles defeated Khalsa Warriors with a score of 49-48.
