Bathinda: Thieves stole cash and gold from a quarter in the Cantonment area. A case has been registered at the Cantonment police station. In a complaint lodged by NK Roy, it has been alleged that unidentified persons had stolen one mobile phone, Rs 10,000 in cash, 50 gm gold and 12 gm silver from his quarter by breaking the lock of his quarter. The total worth of the stolen material is Rs 1.10 lakh. Investigating officer Surinder Kumar said a case has been registered against unidentified persons under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC. The police have started investigation and accused will be held soon, he added.
