SAD accuses Cong of ignoring norms

BATHINDA: SAD leader Sarup Chand Singla on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress over appointing the president of Khalsa Diwan Gurdwara Singh Sabha.



Bathinda, June 19

SAD leader Sarup Chand Singla on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress over appointing the president of Khalsa Diwan Gurdwara Singh Sabha. He accused the Congress of taking the control of the Khalsa Diwan management in a wrong way.

In the presence of Singla, Singh Sabha’s senior vice-president Sukhdev Singh said under the patronage of the Congress, the president was elected without following norms.

He said as per the norms, after every five years, the president was elected by holding elections.

Mayor Balwant Rai Nath, Harmander Singh, Rajwinder Singh, Nirmal Singh Sandhu, Raju Sra, Bibi Davinder Kaur, Rajinder Singh Mann and others SAD leaders were present on the occasion. — TNS
