Bathinda, January 16
To boost the morale of party workers and placate local leaders, SAD-BJP candidate from Bathinda (Urban) candidate Sarup Chand Singla today held a meeting with workers here. Booth and ward-level leaders attended the meeting.
Singla lashed out at the rebels who joined the Congress before the polling date. Workers were appealed to gather in a large number tomorrow morning when Singla will file his nomination papers.
He said the leaders who had left the SAD were inactive and had no base and the absence of such leaders does not make any difference.
He further added that he had got a survey done on 15,000 voters in the city, out of which a large number of voters liked him among all other candidates.
He also told the workers that he would file his nomination papers at the District Administrative Complex and thereafter, a rally would be organised at the Subhash market.
