Students pledge to obey traffic rules

BATHINDA: A seminar on traffic rules and road safety was organised on Punjabi University Campus at Maur here on Wednesday.

A seminar on traffic rules and road safety was organised on Punjabi University Campus at Maur here on Wednesday.

The seminar was conducted under 29th Road Safety Week by Sukhraj Singh, in-charge, traffic education cell, Bathinda. It was presided over by Shingara Singh (ASI, traffic police, Maur). The seminar proved to be very informative and beneficial for students and staff, as they were informed regarding traffic rules and road safety.

Students were also informed of the safety rules, which included having licences, using helmets, have proper documents and proper maintenance of vehicles. Traffic symbols and signs were also showcased to acquaint students with road signs. The students pledged to obey traffic rules and educate others on the importance of traffic rules.
