Students taught about assembling robots

BATHINDA: Engineering departments — Electrical, Electronics, Communication and Mechanical — of the Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology organised a ten-day workshop on embedded system and robotics for BTech (V semester) students.

Engineering departments — Electrical, Electronics, Communication and Mechanical — of the Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology organised a ten-day workshop on embedded system and robotics for BTech (V semester) students.

The workshop was organised in collaboration with the National Institute of Technical Teacher Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh.

More than 80 students participated in the workshop. The staff of the NITTTR, including director-cum-head Ajay Godara and director training Alok Deep, also attended the workshop.

The students were taught about the assembling robots, which can help them in various industrial applications where human approach is not possible.The objective of the workshop was to build the technical skills and nurture the overall personality of students.

The event was a combination of both learning and entertainment. The workshop gave an overview and hand on experience to the students about various electronic components used in developing various projects such as making LED display boards and moving LEDs.

Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, chairman, Baba Farid Group of Institution, congratulated the students for their participation and motivated them to make the best use of these opportunities to polish their skills.
