Two inmates clash inside jail

BATHINDA: Two inmates clashed inside the Central Jail at Gobindpura on Tuesday.

Two inmates clashed inside the Central Jail at Gobindpura on Tuesday.

Both of them were injured in the clash. Thereafter, they were taken to the jail hospital for treatment from where they were referred to the Civil Hospital.

Deputy Jail Superintendent Rajdeep Singh said the inmates, who clashed with each other, were Bikramjit Singh, a resident of Gurdaspur, and Ravi Kumar, a resident of Bathinda.

After getting treatment, both of the inmates returned to the jail.

The inmates have given in writing that they don’t want any action against each other so the incident was not reported to the police.
