Add quality to Modi’s Make in India, says Osamu Suzuki

As India pushes to become a global manufacturing hub, Suzuki Motor Corporation chairman and CEO Osamu Suzuki today stressed the need for “Quality in India”, especially in auto components sector to become a top international supplier.

“It is mentioned here Make in India, I’d like to add Quality in India,” Suzuki said while addressing the annual session of ACMA here.

Reiterating the need to focus on quality, he said, “I believe if all suppliers follow Quality in India, then they will be able to overcome the US and China and can acquire the No. 1 position globally.” The global recall of more than one million units of vehicles has put the focus on quality, he said, adding “hence it doesn’t leave any doubt that quality is an important key to success.
