Foreign investment is likely to pour into Sitarganj State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand (SIDCUL), as France’ Airbus has sought over 200 acres of land at Sitarganj to set up a plant for which the state government has agreed under its mega industries policy.

“The company wants to manufacture 500-seater passenger aircraft at the Sitarganj SIDCUL,” said Finance Minister Dr Indira Hriydesh at Haldwani today after returning from a conference in New Delhi, held by an organisation named ‘Invest North’.

“Besides Airbus, industrial groups, including Tatas, Ambanis, Adani and Birla group, are also willing to invest in the state as the government has generous policies towards Indian and foreign investors,” he said.
