New Delhi: At a time when the incumbent telecom operators are locked in a war of words over call drops with new comer Reliance Jio, Union Communications Minister Manoj Sinha has called a meeting of the CEOs of telecom companies on November 1 to take stock of the call drop issue and chalk out a road map for future.

“The minister will meet telecom company CEOs on November 1 to take stock of the call drop situation. It’s a stock-taking meeting and also roadmap for the future,” Telecom Secretary JS Deepak told reporters on the sidelines of an industry event.

He said according to TRAI, there has been an improvement in the call drop situation, so the minister would like to review it.

Earlier this year, telcos had submitted a 100-day action plan on strategy to address call drop issue.  tns
