Chandigarh: Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Badal on Tuesday inaugurated the 100th branch of Capital Small Finance Bank. It intends to open 200 more branches in northern states in the next four years. Out of 100 branches in Punjab, 50 are rural, 33 semi-urban, 12 urban and 5 metropolitan. “As a small finance bank, we are free to expand anywhere in the country, but we have decided to mainly focus on Punjab along with expansion in Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, parts of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu region,” said Sarvjit Singh Samra, MD of the bank.
