Fitch lowers India's economic growth projections

Global rating agency Fitch has lowered India's economic growth projections to 7.8% for the current fiscal from 8% earlier. Fitch, however, said it expects that India's GDP growth rate this year will surpass China's for the first time since 1999, forecasting an acceleration to 8.1% in 2016-17 before settling back to 8% in 2017-18.
