The store was inaugurated by Ashok Kajaria, Chairman & Managing Director, and Rishi Kajaria, Joint Managing Director, of the company on December 6.

PFC receives first prize in ‘Annual Report' by SCOPE

PFC has bagged first prize in 'Annual Report' category under SCOPE Corporate Communication Excellence Awards 2017. The PR team of PFC received the award from Minister of State for I&B Col Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

Amazon recruits 24 students of PDM University in campus drive

As many as 24 students of PDM University were selected by Amazon in a campus drive for final year students of Bachelor in Technology, Business Administration and Computer Applications at Bahadurgarh Campus of the university. More than 300 students participated in the selection process out of which 24 were selected by the company, said Dr Raju Tyagi, Placement Officer, PDM University. Nearly 250 students of the university have been selected in companies such as Trident Group, Yamaha and Reliance Jio in the recent past, he added.

GNA University inks agreement with EUSAI

GNA University has signed an MoU with Elite Universal Sports Alliance India (EUSAI) in the presence of the Pro-Chancellor Gurdeep Singh Sihra. Mohit Singh Rajawat, president, EUSAI, Pune, presided over the function. EUSAI is desirous of commercialising Indian university sports in the Indian subcontinent by replicating university sports models followed in the US.

CT University signs pact with Mendel University 

Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Pro-Vice Chancellor of CT University, Ludhiana, and Prof RN Dr Ladislav Havel, CSc, Rector of Mendel University in Brno, Czech Republic, signed an MoU for cooperation in education and academic research. The pact includes cooperation in research activities 

and exchange of faculty members, students, scientific materials, publications and information. Dr Ing et Ing Miroslav Kravka, Vice Dean, Mendel University in Brno, and Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor, CT University, were present on the occasion.

Union Bank ties up with RXIL for TReDS

Union Bank of India has partnered with Receivable Exchange of India Ltd (RXIL) as a Trade Receivable Discounting System (TReDS) partner for discounting invoice of MSMEs on digital platform. An agreement to this effect was signed between the bank and RXIL on December 5 by AK Dixit, General Manager (Credit Policy & MSME), Union Bank of India, and Kashinath Katakdhond, MD & CEO, RXIL. RXIL is a joint venture between SIDBI and NSE. TReDS is a digital platform to help MSMEs get their trade receivables financed at a competitive rate through an auction mechanism where multiple financiers can bid on invoices accepted by PSUs/corporate buyers.

LPU, Livingstone College ink pact for exchange programme

Lovely Professional University (LPU) has signed an MoU with Livingstone College of Salisbury, North Carolina, US. The Mayor of Salisbury, Ms Karen K. Alexander, was present during the signing ceremony held on the LPU campus. The collaboration is aimed at creating international opportunities for students of both the institutions, which will work on student exchange programmes and joint research projects.

REC bags SCOPE award for brand building

REC Ltd has received the first prize for "Brand Building through Inclusive Growth Initiatives" at the Corporate Communication Excellence Awards 2017 organised by the SCOPE. The award was presented by the Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore in New Delhi on December 7.

The wealth hubs were launched by PK Gupta, Managing Director (Retail & Digital Banking), SBI, in the presence of Anil Kishora, CGM, SBI, Chandigarh Circle. Gupta said 'SBI Exclusif' is targeted at the fast growing affluent segment in the country. He also donated a vehicle to Tek Chand Sud Charitable Trust, Hoshiarpur, which provides education, rehabilitation and transportation to mentally challenged children.
