Nifty closes at over 15-month high

Rising for the third straight session, the NSE Nifty closed at an over 15-month high of 8,711.35 and the BSE Sensex jumped over 104 points to 28,182.57 on firm global cues coupled with optimistic buying by investors ahead of the RBI policy meet on Tuesday. PTI

SML Isuzu Q1 profit surges 43%

SML Isuzu, formerly Swaraj Mazda Ltd., has recorded revenue of Rs 463.21 crore for the quarter ended June 30,  up 21% as compared to Rs 383.16 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal. The company recorded profit before tax of Rs 55.83 crore as compared to Rs 39.08 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal, up 43%. TNS
