OilMin’s awareness programme inaugurated

To create awareness among public about the need for conservation of petroleum products and help protect the environment, the Oil Ministry is organising Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav 2017 (“SAKSHAM 2017”) from January 16 to February 15 across the country.

To create awareness among public about the need for conservation of petroleum products and help protect the environment, the Oil Ministry is organising Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav 2017 (“SAKSHAM 2017”) from January 16 to February 15 across the country. The programme was inaugurated by Punjab Governor VP Singh Badnore here on Monday. Sandeep Jain, General Manager, Indian Oil Corporation, outlined various activities carried out by the oil industry towards oil and gas conservation. TNS

State Bank of Patiala cuts lending rates

State Bank of Patiala has cut its Marginal Cost of Funds Basis Lending Rates (MCLR) by up to 65 basis points. The tenor wise MCLR now ranges from 8.05% for overnight to 8.45% for three year loans. The revised MCLRs for tenor vise are: one-month 8.15%, three-month 8.20%, six-month 8.25%, one-year 8.30% and two-year 8.40%. The new rates are effective from January 15. TNS
