The rupee gained further ground against the US dollar to end at a nearly 17-month high of 65.30 on Tuesday in a fairly volatile trading on increased selling of the American currency by exporters and banks. A weak dollar in overseas markets largely supported the upmove despite a sell-off in local stocks. PTI

SBI MD flags off third mobile ATM for tricity

He emphasised on rapid migration of customers across all strata to cashless banking using its wide array of digital banking products. Madhabi Puri Buch was on Tuesday appointed as a Whole-Time Member of capital markets regulator SEBI. She is founder-director of Agora Advisory Pvt Ltd and currently at the New Development Bank in Shanghai, China. Nettle Infra to buy 21.6% in Bharti Infratel
Mobile tower company, Bharti Infratel on Tuesday said Nettle Infrastructure Investment Ltd will acquire 21.63% stake in the company from parent Bharti Airtel on or after March 27. Nettle Infrastructure, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, will buy 40 crore equity shares of Bharti Infratel from the parent for an estimated Rs 12,400 crore. PTI

Honda Cars to be dearer from April 1
Honda Cars India Ltd said on Tuesday it would hike prices of its models by up to Rs 10,000 from next month on higher freight and input costs. The prices of the newly launched Honda WR-V will, however, remain unchanged, it said. PTI
