Samsung launches new app to do away with multiple logins

CHANDIGARH: Samsung India launched its new version of My Galaxy app, an entertainment and life-services application here today. The app can be accessed by Indian users on their Samsung mobile devices.

Samsung India launched its new version of My Galaxy app, an entertainment and life-services application here today. The app can be accessed by Indian users on their Samsung mobile devices.

The app, which was unveiled last year along with Samsung Z3 smartphone, accounts for 10 million downloads on Google Playstore to date. Mandeep Bhatia, director, consumer engagement, Samsung India Electronics, said, “The new app has been developed keeping in mind the Indian consumers and their smartphone usage habits. It is a testimony to our passion for innovation and localisation.”

Developed at Samsung R&D Institute (SRI), Bangalore, the app aims to serve diverse needs of consumers through a single application that is integrated with partner ecosystem. Dipesh Shah, Managing Director, Samsung Research India, Bangalore, said, “We believe that the app will help de-clutter the device, by bringing everything that consumers use their smartphones for, at one place with ease and convenience.”
