Sensex ends flat, Nifty trades 0.75 points down

MUMBAI: Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) ended flat on Friday, with the day’s trade closing at 27, 458. 64 points.



Mumbai, March 27

Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) ended flat on Friday, with the day’s trade closing at 27, 458. 64 points.

The day’s trade saw negligible gains, with the index up by merely 0.86 points from Thursday’s closing at 27, 457. 78 points.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange, meanwhile, traded in the red: the index recorded a –8,341.40 points or 0.75% decline at the day’s close.   

The Sensex touched a high of 27,694.41 points and a low of 27, 248.45 points in the intra-day trade. — TNS
