Spicejet begins another round of fare war

MUMBAI: Troubled airline Spicejet has kicked off another round of fare wars for the coming summer.

Troubled airline Spicejet has kicked off another round of fare wars for the coming summer.

As per the announcements made on its website today, Spicejet has come up with fares as low as Rs 837 on some sectors. For instance, a seat on a Mumbai-Goa flight on March 10 would be available for as low as Rs 837. The airline’s regular fare on this route is Rs 2,700.

Similarly, a seat on the busy Mumbai-Delhi sector for March 10 is available for Rs 1,822 as against the regular fare of Rs 4,325.

In a statement, Spicejet said the discounted tickets would be available for travel between February 15 and June 30 which is considered a slack period in the business. Bookings under this offer are open only between January 28 and January 30.
