TCS m-cap zooms by Rs39,282 cr

New Delhi, July11

Shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) surged 5.5% on Wednesday, adding Rs 39,281.74 crore to its market valuation, after the company posted better-than-expected quarterly earnings.

The stock jumped 5.47% to close at Rs 1,979.60 on the BSE. During the day, it climbed 6.28% to Rs 1,995 — its 52-week high.

At the NSE, shares of the company advanced 5% to close at Rs 1,970.

The stock was the biggest gainer among the blue chips on both the key indices. — PTI
